Salt Pond
The Salt Pond Project was undertaken in 1968 with support from the University of Maine and the National Science Foundation. The work was focused on the Grindle site, but test excavations were also carried out on the nearby Allen site as well as on the Carleton Island site. These are sites 42-10, 42-11, and 42-27 in the numbering system in use at the time at the University of Maine. Excavation recovered materials assignable to the Woodland period.

Salt Pond Project Catalog Guide (2017)
The Grindle Site and two other nearby sites in the Town of Blue Hill, Maine, were excavated with support from the University of Maine and the National Science Foundation in 1968. This document provides a guide and metadata for those excavations and the resulting assemblages.
Salt River Valley Canal System (1966)
This image is a map of the prehistoric irrigation system of the Salt River Valley by Frank Midvale. The map shows how the canal system branches from the Salt River and where the river connects to the Gila River. The individual canals are named and listed and the prehistoric cities and important geographical locations are listed and named as well.

Sampling for Micro-Archaeological Research (1956)
Reports preliminary results of study of pollen samples from La Atalaya, La Cofradia and Cerro de Moctehuma archaeological sites. The 4-zone stratified pollen sequence from La Ayala allows the other two sites to be cross-dated. Subsequently published in Southern Illinois Museum Papers (1962). 3 p.
