Site CA-SDI-20130, a prehistoric habitation site, is located in San Diego County along the coast between the community of La Jolla and the Scripps Institute of Oceanography (Pigniolo, et al. 2009). The site has been heavily disturbed by modern development and although its true extent is currently an estimate, the original boundary is believed to include an area near the Pacific shore line on a natural ridge representing a Pleistocene sand bar adjacent to an estuary.
