Silty paste and sparse sand temper suggests the ladle was manufactured in the Middle San Juan region or possibly Aztec. Ladle is 75% complete with half of the handle and part of the rim missing. Bowl is rectangular shaped; smudged and polished interior; fine patterned corrugations on exterior. Although the vessel is 100% complete, roughly 40% is an artist reconstruction using unknown clay and black paint.
