Database for The Scratched Voices Begging to be Heard: The Graffiti of Pompeii and Today (2018)
DATASET Alexa Rose.

Pompeii graffiti offers a glimpse of the real people of Pompeii. Yet, there has been very few databases made of this resource and the ones that have been made are not digital, inaccessible or incomplete. My project is to make a database of graffiti from Pompeii that is the most complete and with known placement is known. For this I will use Victor Hunink’s Oh Happy Place: Pompeii in 1000 graffiti and also my personal survey of graffiti from Pompeii. The database is made within excel, as it is...

Greek Ceramics: Compositional and Descriptive Data (2014)
DATASET Matthew Boulanger. Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory.

This dataset contains compositional (elemental abundance) and descriptive data for a total of 1198 ceramic and clay specimens from Greece, analyzed by the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL). These data were generated by neutron activation analysis (NAA) at LBNL between the late 1960s and early 1990s. Data from the LBNL were transferred to the Archaeometry Laboratory at the University of Missouri, where they were digitized for distribution through tDAR. Compositional data for some...

Data for some samples are drawn from a previous LBNL-digitization project at the University of...

Results of Testing and Proposed Data Recovery at Two Sites in the Interstate 19 Corridor, Santa Cruz County, Arizona (2001)
DOCUMENT Full-Text M.L. Brack.

The Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) has proposed construction work along the eastern frontage road of Interstate 19 (I-19), north of Nogales, Arizona. Previous investigations identified two archaeological sites within the scope of this project: AZ EE:9:43 (ASM) and AZ EE:9:174 (ASM). When they were initially recorded, data were insufficient for a determination of eligibility for inclusion in the National Register of Historic Places (National Register). Therefore, archaeological...

Three-Dimensional Recording: Reconstruction and Artifact Interpretation (2017)
DOCUMENT Citation Only Mateusz Polakowski.

Three-dimensional technologies have provided new ways to record, reconstruct, and distribute the information gathered during fieldwork and subsequent study. This paper will overview the ongoing methodologies used to document and interpret the Egadi 10 ramming warship through theoretical reconstruction in Rhino and Orca3D as well as the importance of using contributory reconstruction to produce new research questions. It will also discuss how additional recording techniques, employed during the...
