MACROFLORAL ANALYSIS AT SITE 48FR434, FRONTIER COUNTY, WYOMING

Summary

Twenty-seven Late Prehistoric features were examined for macrofloral

retains from 48FR434, located at the southern end of the Wind River Mountains in

central Wyoming. Most radiocarbon ages returned for these features cluster

between 1060 and 1610 BP. Macrofloral analysis of these features was undertaken

to identify evidence of processing or utilization of vegetal foods or materials

by occupants of this site throughout the time period represented.
