Summary

Samples from Site 48LA277 near Crow Creek, Wyoming, were examined for

pollen and macrofloral remains. Radiocarbon dates suggest a Plains Woodland

ocxxqpation of this site. Four of the pollen samples represent a soil column in

the wall of Excavation Uhit 1497/1498 N. Pollen analysis of these samples will

assist recxmstructing the past environment. The fifth pollen sample and the five

macrofloral samples were collected from features. Pollen and macrofloral

analyses of these samples address subsistence activities at this site.
