Summary

Fill samples from a hearth and a charcoal stain at Site 5EP2020 in central

Colorado were examined for macrofloral remains. In addition, charcoal from

Feature 1, the hearth, was sent for identification. This site appears to have

been a single component site that was occupied during the Late Prehistoric

period, based on a radiocarbon date of 1010 ± 50 BP from the hearth. Macrofloral

analysis is used to provide information concerning subsistence at this site.
