Summary

Six pollen samples were examined from Site 42SA22449 (Bret's Pithouse) to

identify foods processed or used in the pithouse. Bret's Pithouse is a burned

Basketmaker III pithouse with a main chamber and antechamber. Samples were

collected from the floor, from the base of a sub-floor basin, from the bottom

fill of a Chapin Gray vessel, and from the wash of several of the sherds of the

broken Chapin Gray vessel.
