Author(s): Linda Scott Cummings

Year: 1994

Summary

Twenty-five pollen samples were examined from four sites along the Mesa

Verde Aqueduct Project. These samples represent washes of groundstone and

pottery, as well as a few samples from floor contact or feature fill. Pollen

analysis was conducted on these pieces of groundstone and pottery to determine

subsistence activities at these sites. Floor and feature fill samples were

examined from 5MT10594 to provide additional information concerning subsistence

activities within two pithouses and associated with a hearth near a proto-kiva.

Other sites represented include 5MT10595, 5MT11451, and 5MT11710.
