Author(s): Linda J Scott; PaleoResearch Institute

Year: 1986

Summary

Site CAID-CM2 (Lovely Site) was occupied during the Late Sedentary

(Sacaton Phase)/Early Classic (Soho) Phase. This site was thought to have

been a seasonally occupied agave production/processing locus. The site is

located on an alluvial fan in the bajadas of the Picacho Mountains in Pinal

County, Arizona. The pollen samples were collected from several roasting

pits and trash mounds recovered at the site in an effort to understand the

vegetal portion of the subsistence base.
