POLLEN AND MACROFLORAL ANALYSES OF A HEARTH FROM THE MARSH HAWK SITE (32BI317)
Author(s): Linda J Scott; PaleoResearch Institute
Year: 1987
Summary
A single flotation sample was collected from a single fire-hearth
feature uncovered during the archaeological monitoring of a road cut that
impacted the Harsh Hawk Site (32BI317). Macrofloral analysis was conducted
on the fill of this feature in an effort to determine subsistence activity
that may have been connected with the use of the feature and occupation of
the site. Extensive pollen and phytolith analyses on soils from this site
were completed at an earlier date (Scott and Lewis 1983).
