POLLEN ANALYSIS OF STRATIGRAPHIC SAMPLES FROM A SINGLE FEATURE AT THE SAND DRAW DUMP SITE, 48FR3123

Author(s): Linda Scott Cummings

Year: 2001

Summary

Pollen samples were collected at 5 cm intervals through sediment that filled Feature 37, a

roasting pit, at the Sand Draw Dump Site (48FR3123). This close interval sampling and analysis

was undertaken to examine the pollen record through probable cultural fill and also probable post-occupational fill in an effort to define the appropriate cultural signal and assist future sampling of

roasting pits and/or deep pits.
