Summary
Six pollen and three macrofloral samples were recovered from various levels of fill at site
26CK2954 in southem Nevada. Fill from a hearth feature and a packrat midden aIso were
examined for macrofloral remains, and sixteen botanic samples were submitted for identification.
This site is a small alcove/rock shelter containing historic artifacts dating to AD 1820 to 1880 mixed
with flaked and ground stone. Pollen and/or macrofloral analysis of strata and feature fill will be
used to provide information concerning plant resources available to and/or utilized by the shelter
occupants. The packrat midden was examined to determine botanical content.
