Summary

Two pollen samples were collected from inside a mine entrance in Montrose County,

Colorado. Pollen analysis was undertaken in an effort to establish a pollen signature that was

appropriate for the various radiocarbon-dated intervals that were sampled and to explore

differences in the pollen signatures for the two samples examined. Radiocarbon ages of 595

BP and 7100 BP are reported for samples 14 and 16, respectively.
