Author(s): Kathryn Puseman

Year: 2012

Summary

The floated light fractions from five samples at Site CA-SDI-13078 (Rhodes Crossing Project) were analyzed for macrofloral remains. This site is located in San Diego, California, and radiocarbon dates reflect Late Archaic and Late Prehistoric occupations. Samples were recovered from columns in two control units, one of which contained a small hearth. Macrofloral analysis is used to determine plant resources processed at the site, as well as wood burned as fuel.
