Summary

Four bulk soil samples from Nevada were floated to recover organic fragments suitable for

radiocarbon dating. Two samples were taken from a fault trench at Whites Creek in the Carson

Range, and two samples were recovered from a fault trench on the southeast side of C Hill in

Carson City. Botanic components and detrital charcoal were identified, and potentially radiocarbon

datable material was separated.
