Summary

Samples from Sites 5GAl598 , 5GAl599 , 5GAl602, 5GAl604, and 5GAl609 in

northwest Colorado were examined for pollen and macrofloral remains. These sites are located near Muddy Creek and will be impacted by construction of the Wolford Mountain Dam and Reservoir, and associated facilities. Uncalibrated radiocarbon dates range from 5180 to 820 BP, indicating use of the area over an extended period of time. Pollen and macrofloral analyses are used to provide information concerning subsistence and possible seasonality.
