Salt-Gila (Fannin-McFarland) Aqueduct Central Arizona Project Mapping and Assessment: Photolog

Summary

The Bureau of Reclamation has developed an archaeological site database for the Central Arizona Project (CAP) canal main stem based on the Class III survey data that includes all previously recorded sites. An unknown number of these sites were either destroyed by construction or excavation, while others are no longer located within the CAP right-of-way (ROW). To assist Reclamation in checking the accuracy of its site database, Archaeological Consulting Services, Ltd. (ACS) was asked to revisit a number of sites that had been identified in the Fannin-McFarland portion of the CAP canal.

The cultural resources assessment for sites AZ U:10:14(ASM) and AZ U:6:2(ASU) are available at tDAR ID: 393744. The cultural resources assessment for sites AZ U:15:83(ASM), AZ U:15:85(ASM), and AZ U:15:102(ASM) are available at tDAR ID: 393752. The cultural resources assessment for sites AZ U:15:15(ASM) and AZ U:15:57(ASM) are available at tDAR ID: 393748.

This photolog documents additional photos taken on different reaches of the Fannin-McFarland Aqueduct of the Central Arizona Project during subsequent site visits in August and September of 2009. The photos can be found at tDAR ID: 393897.
