Summary

At the request of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Louis District (Corps), John Milner Associates, Inc. (JMA), conducted National Historic Preservation Act Section 110 data managaement in the Philadelphia District office, Philadelphia, PA. JMA scanned 314 reports into Portable Document Format (PDF) files and cataloged them into a Microsoft Access Database. A total of 583 cultural resources survey areas from within these reports was digitized and georectified and transmitted to the Philadelphia District within a GIS shapefile cross referenced to the database. Survey areas within reports undertaken by or on behalf of the Corps (a total of 460 areas in 140 reports) were also entered into the cultural data layer of the geodatabase ARRA110CorpsMap for transmittal to the St. Louis District, as were 102 cultural resources sites (92 archaeological sites; 6 historic buildings/structures; 4 historic districts) within Corps fee owned properties in the Philadelphia District. The Microsoft Access library catalog included an additional table listing all Corps-sponsored reports on file at the relevant State Historic Preservation Offices (SHPOs) that are not currently on file in the Philadelphia District’s library. This ARRA funded Task Order employed 40 specialists
