A pedestrian archeological survey covering 2,450 acres (992 hectares) was conducted at the Camp Bullis Military Reservation from 14 October to 29 November 1996 by Prewitt and Associates, Inc. This intensive survey recorded 20 new archeological sites and enlarged the dimensions on 4 sites previously recorded by Gerstle et al. (1978).
