During the summer of 1962, the archaeological field school of the University of Arizona conducted excavations at the Ringo site situated on the west slope of the Chiricahua Mountains in Cochise County, Arizona. The Ringo site was essentially Mogollon with late additions from the Western Pueblo region. It was occupied in the period between A.D. 1250 and 1325.
