The Irvine Lott Site (22SM723) contains evidence of at least six distinct occupations. Seven highly decorated Marksville sherds were noted during survey. Two ceramic pottery sherds and the living floor beneath these sherds were examined for pollen, phytoliths, and/or starch in an effort to both identify foods that might have been processed or stored in the vessel and garner information concerning activities on this surface.
