Seventeen soil samples were floated and the macrofloral remains examined from Site 48CA 1366 to identify subsistence activities at this site. Features included primary hearths, roasting pits, charcoal stains, a sheet midden, and features exhibiting no evidence of burning.

Eleven pollen samples were selected for analysis from three sites (48CA468, 48CA561, and 48CA566) on the AMAX Eagle Butte Mine near Gillette in central Campbell County, Wyoming. These samples were taken stratigraphically within the sites in an effort to gather paleoenvironmental data.
