Approximately 50 pounds of fill from the north half of Feature 78, a large cache pit at site 39DW347 in north-central south Dakota, was floated to recover charred macrofloral remains. This site contains material from both a historic (early to mid-twentieth century) occupation and a Plains Village period (ca. A.D. 900 to 1865) affiliation.
