The results of investigations at 47 archaeological sites along the Coronado railroad corridor from St. Johns, Arizona, to Navajo, Arizona, are presented. Of the 47 sites, 14 were surface collected and recorded, 9 were tested, and 24 were excavated as fully as possible given the constraints of the impact corridor. A Cultural Resources Survey of an Approximately 0.5 Acre Easement on Arizona State Trust Land for the Salt River Project Coronado Generating Station North of St. Johns, Apache County, Arizona (2010)
SRP is proposing to develop a new well site and install an associated pipeline and electrical transmission line that will provide water to the SRP Coronado Generating Station to facilitate compliance with new requirements for emissions reduction at the generating station. The survey area is a proposed easement that measures 100 feet × 200 feet, encompassing nearly 0.5 acre of State Trust Land administered by the Arizona State Land Department.
Zuni Heaven In-Lieu Land Selections: Archeological Survey in Apache County (1987)
The Zuni Heaven project is a proposed land selection for Apache County, Arizona. Nearly 5,900 acres will be available for transfer to the County. In three phases, between October 1985 and July 1987, BLM inventoried over 7,100 acres to locate sufficient acreage for transfer. During the surveys, 32 sites were recorded in 19 different parcels. A total of 5,977 acres have been recommended for transfer to Apache County, excluding parcels which contain National Register potential properties.
