This resource is a technical report on archaeological investigations at Bloodsworth Island, Dorchester County, Maryland. Site 18DO82 was identified as the home of waterman William Parks from ca. 1840-1880. Two additional sites were identified as disturbed and in need of no further work (18DO107 and 18DO108). Erosion along a wash running into Arivaca Creek resulted in the exposure of skeletal remains from a prehistoric cemetery. Under contract to the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Desert Archaeology conducted emergency excavations in November of 1994 to rescue those remains that had partially fallen into the wash.
