Fill from a hearth with fire-cracked rock at site 48AB1878 in southeast Wyoming was floated to recover charred macrofloral remains. This site is a multicomponent site with chipped stone tools and debitage, fire-cracked rock scatters, and diagnostic artifacts from the Middle and Late Archaic periods as well as the Late Prehistoric period (Adams 2009).
