Two pollen samples were collected beneath the left femur and fibula of mammoth 1 excavated from the Tolo Lake bed in north-central Idaho. Pollen samples were collected beneath these bones in an effort to obtain lake bed matrix that had been protected from contamination by more recent pollen.
