A mano fragment and a metate fragment from Site CA-SD 1-7199 for the Salt Creek Ranch Project, as well as an overturned metate from Site CA-SDI-7976 for the Eastlake III Woods Project, were examined for pollen, starch, and possible protein residues. Both sites are believed to be Late Archaic temporary processing sites in southern San Diego County.
