EXAMINATION OF BULK SOIL, IDENTIFICATION OF DETRITAL CHARCOAL, AND AMS RADIOCARBON AGE DETERMINATION OF MATERIAL COLLECTED ALONG GRIZZLY CREEK, OREGON (2011)
DOCUMENT Full-Text Peter Kovacik.

One bulk soil sample and twelve detrital charcoal samples were examined for the presence of organic material suitable for radiocarbon age determination. These samples were recovered from Holocene alluvium along Grizzly Creek downstream of Howard Prairie Dam, near Klamath Falls in the south-central Oregon. Botanic components and detrital charcoal were identified, and potentially radiocarbon datable material was separated. A total of five radiocarbon dates were obtained from charcoal fragments.
