Thirteen samples from the B. F. Sisk Dam in Merced County, California, were examined to recover charcoal, wood, or other organic remains suitable for AMS radiocarbon analysis. Botanic components and detrital charcoal were identified, and potentially radiocarbon datable material was separated.
