Nohle

Nohle (a.k.a. Wallace, Belleville, Green/Littlefield, UB 478) is located on the Henderson quad in Jefferson Co. It probably dates to the early to mid-15th century. Sample = 39 vessels (Colgate Univ. = 19, American Museum of Natural History = 6 Smithsonian Museum of the American Indian = 5, Peabody Museum, Harvard = 4, Rochester Museum and Science Center = 3, Carle Nohle of Belleville = 2). Burials found in nearby gravel pit (Watertown Daily Times, Oct. 6, 1975). These ceramic attributes were recorded in 1990.
