Putnam
Part of: Iroquoian Ceramic Data
Putnam (a.k.a. Gardner, UB 628) is located on the Rutland Center quad in Jefferson County. It probably dates to the latter half of the 15th century. Sample = 146 vessels (Smithsonian Museum of the American Indian = 89, Syracuse Univ. = 33, SUNY/Buffalo = 21, and the Jefferson County Historical Society = 3). These ceramic attributes were recorded in 1989.

These images were produced for Earl Sidler (a graduate student at SUNY/Buffalo) in the early 1970's. In the late 1980's, Sidler gave the photos to William Engelbrecht, who in turn gave them to Tim Abel. The photos were borrowed by Engelbrecht from Tim Abel to scan and upload these images.
