Collection of documents, data, and images generated from and/or related to archaeological resource and investigations on the Avon Park Air Force Range in Florida. The collection was created by tDAR under contract with the USAF and is intended to organize documents, images, and other data from Avon Park AFR. Some of the digital resources are organized under projects, which group together documents, etc. from particular investigations or related to certain sites or parts of the base. Other digital objects are included individually. Due to the potential sensitive information included in these documents, users that wish to access documents and images without redaction should contact the cultural resources office at Avon Park AFR.

The Avon Park Air Force Range is an active military training installation. Access to the Range is restricted. Excavation of archaeological sites can be performed only by professional archaeologist and only with a federal permit. Persons found vandalizing sites on the range will be prosecuted under the Archaeological Resources Protection Act to the fullest extent of the law. Persons found digging in human burial sites will be prosecuted under the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act. Furthermore, it is not uncommon to encounter live ordinance and when activated these can cause serious injury and even death. Therefore, it is both illegal and dangerous for unauthorized personnel to enter Avon Park Air Force Range in search of archaeological sites or artifacts.
