Summary
The following report summarizes the excavation of a pueblo room on the Ladder Ranch, Caballo New Mexico. The room, unit 2, was excavated during the months of June, July, and August of 1995 by David Smart (NMSU), Julie Maitland (NMSU), Daniel William Ramin (UB), and Cathy Evans (NAU). Unit 2 is located in a small pueblo room block (4-6 rooms) on the first terrace immediately above the confluence of the Palomas and North Palomas drainages. Unit 2 lies within a site designated LA 37728. The 1995 season was co-directed by Dr. Michelle Higmon (NMSU) and Dr. Margaret Nelson (UB) and funded by the Turner Foundation and the National Geographic Society.
