Summary

Pollen samples were collected from the floor and several strata of fill

from a pit structure at LA 3408 in Rio Arriba County. This structure apparently

burned during or after occupation and exhibits several strata above the floor,

including roof fall, midden accumulations on top of the roof fall, and upper

fill. Pollen analysis addresses pollen recovered from the floor that might

indicate economic or other activity within this structure. It also addresses the

accumulation of pollen following abandonment of this structure.
