Summary

Samples from several pit features at Site 36BV292 in western Pennsylvania

were examined for pollen and macrofloral remains. This site is a multicomponent

prehistoric site representing Archaic, Early Woodland, and Middle Woodland

cultural periods. Radiocarbon dates range from 4570 to 1570 BP. Pollen and

macrofloral analyses are used to provide information concerning foods processed at this site.
