Author(s): Kathryn Puseman
Year: 1994
Summary
Three hearths were exposed at Sites 5GSI210 and 5GST218 in Curecanti National Recreation Area during digging operations for monitoring of a U.S. West line. Radiocarbon dates suggest an Early Archaic occupation at 5GN210, while Feature l at 5GN218 yielded an uncalibrated Protohistoric/Historic date of 170 + 60 BP. Fill from these disturbed hearths was sampled for macrofloral remains to provide subsistence information.
