POLLEN AND MACROFLORAL ANALYSIS AT SITE 42SA22702, SOUTHEAST UTAH
Author(s): Linda Scott Cummings; Kathryn Puseman; Thomas E. Moutoux
Year: 1995
Summary
Site 42SA22702 is located along Recapture Creek in the Blanding Basin of
southeast Utah. Soil from a roughly circular, culturally stained feature was
sampled for pollen and macrofloral remains. The significance and timing of the
feature is currently unresolved, though several sherd fragments suggest a general prehistoric cultural affiliation. The pollen and macrofloral work was undertaken to provide subsistence information that would aid in determining the site's function.
