Summary
Two ceramic pipes that contained obvious burned residue were submitted to
PaleoResearch Labs for analysis. Microscopic analysis was undertaken to identify
any plant remains present in this residue. These pipes were recovered from a
pithouse site (LA 45507) dating between AD 800 and 900.
