Summary
A twig that formed part of the framework for the granary at 5RB705 and single zea mays
cob, representing maize stored in the granary, were submitted for analysis. Phytoliths were
extracted from the cob and measured to obtain a signature of the type of maize represented and
also to assess growing conditions under which this corn was grown.
