Author(s): Kathryn Puseman; Linda Scott Cummings
Year: 2004
Summary
Six pollen and eight macrofloral samples were examined from site 42DA1094, a multi-use
site situated at an elevation of 5640 feet in a pinyon/juniper woodland. This site includes
roasting pits and three brush structures that yielded radiocarbon ages from 1120 ± 60 BP to
1550 ± 60 BP. The three brush structures are superimposed on one another. Pollen and
macrofloral samples were studied to provide information concerning subsistence of the various
occupants of this site and to provide a description of local vegetation at the time of occupation.
