POLLEN AND PHYTOLITH ANALYSIS OF MATERIAL FROM PELICAN HILL (CA-ORA-662), CALIFORNIA
Author(s): Linda Scott Cummings
Year: 1989
Summary
Pollen and phytolith analyses were conducted to identify the possible use
of native vegetation during the occupation of the late Prehistoric Pelican Hill
site (Ca-Ora-662). To date, no extensive archaeobotanical investigations have
been conducted for this area to verify and characterize native plant use.
Samples were obtained from hearths, groundstone tools and midden deposits.
