Brockington and Associates, Inc., undertook data recovery investigations at archaeological site 38CH2017, a National Register of Historic Places eligible property and Geographical Area of Particular Concern located on the Beazer Bolton Tract in Charleston County, South Carolina, from March 2006 through June 2007. Site 38CH2017 is a Post-Contact site containing a late seventeenth-/early eighteenth-century plantation complex, a mid-nineteenth-century plantation slave row, and a late nineteenth-/early twentieth-century phosphate mining camp settlement.
