Author(s): Michael Walsh

Editor(s): Meg Moughan

Year: 2011

Summary

"In April and July 2011, Brockington and Associates,

Inc., conducted an intensive cultural resources survey

of the 42-acre Gregg Tract in Charleston County, South

Carolina. These investigations were completed for

Henrich Properties in compliance with state and federal

laws concerning the management of historic properties

(i.e., archaeological sites, buildings, structures, objects,

or districts listed on or eligible for the National Register

of Historic Places [NRHP]) affected by development

activities on private lands within the Coastal Zone of

South Carolina. A commercial retail development is

currently planned for the property. The development

includes an agreement between the owner and the

Olive Branch African Methodist Episcopal (AME)

Church to exchange a portion of the church’s property

within the project tract for another property located

south of the church. ..."
