Author(s): Kathleen S. McQuestion

Year: 1990

Summary

A cultural resource survey was performed for Salt River Project (SRP) by SWCA, Inc., Environmental Consultants on June 19, 1990. The survey was located near Queen Creek, Arizona, in Maricopa County on private lands. Six miles of right-of-way were surveyed, totaling approximately 15 acres. Two previously known sites, the Manchester and Sand Dune South sites, occur within the project area. Sixteen loci associated with those sites and two isolated occurrences were identified during the inventory. Surface collection of each pole location that contains artifactual materials and monitoring of power pole construction in the site areas is recommended.
