Between the River and Mountains: A Cultural Resources Assessment of 3,679 Acres near Ehrenberg, La Paz County, Arizona
Author(s): Sarah Herr
Year: 2018
Summary
Twenty previously documented cultural resources were investigated, and seven archaeological sites are reported. Four of the reported sites reconfigure previous site designations, and three sites are newly recorded. Four sites are extensive Native American trail networks that can be traced for many kilometers. Abundant ceramics are most consistent with Patayan I and Patayan II. These sites meet eligibility requirements for inclusion in the National Register of Historic Places (National Register). Two historical sites, which had been previously designated, include a road and an improved campsite. These do not meet eligibility requirements for inclusion in the National Register.
