Archaeological Treatment Plan for the SRP Kyrene/Tempe Service Center Improvements Project, Tempe, Maricopa County, Arizona
Author(s): Hoski Schaafsma; T. Kathleen Henderson
Year: 2022
Summary
SRP plans to construct improvements within the Kyrene/Tempe Service Center campus to address ongoing stormwater, dust, and erosion control issues. The project will also expand parking capacity, improve vehicle circulation, and make efficiency improvements to site work and storage areas. Planned improvements have the potential to impact AZ U:9:225(ASM), a prehistoric archaeological site located within the campus. Recognizing the potential for additional buried prehistoric cultural remains to be present elsewhere within the campus, SRP has requested cultural resources services to address disturbances to these resources if encountered.
