Summary
This report presents a preservation management plan prepared on behalf of the United States Department of the Air Force for the Farish Memorial Recreation Area Historic District, a geographically separated unit of the United States Air Force Academy, El Paso County, Colorado. This preservation management plan will aid the United States Air Force Academy in managing the historic properties at Farish Memorial Recreation Area, as required by the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966, as amended. This plan identifies the nature and significance of historic properties, discusses preservation goals for each resource, and looks at ways that facility operations can affect the buildings and how to formulate planned maintenance and preservation projects. The plan also looks at potential external threats and how preventive maintenance and planning can limit the effects of these potential threats.
