#266, Style III Bowl from Treasure Hill

Summary
This Bowl is an example of Style III from the Treasure Hill site, a large Mimbres village on Arenas Creek near Silver City. It has a pithouse period occupation that is uninvestigated and a Classic period pueblo that was extensively excavated in the 1920s by H.S. and C. B. Cosgrove (collection at Museum of Northern Arizona). Minor excavations were conducted by LaVerne Herrington in the 1970s; the collection is in her possession.
